The Air Jordan 1 Retro High was originally designed by Peter Moore and released in 1985 as Michael Jordan's first signature basketball shoe, making it a foundational silhouette in sneaker culture. The Obsidian colorway, released in August 2019, features a full-leather construction with obsidian blue, sail white, and university blue blocking that pays homage to Jordan's time at the University of North Carolina. The shoe maintains the classic Nike Air midsole and rubber outsole that defined the original silhouette.
