The Dunk Low's skateboarding roots originated in the 1980s as a basketball sneaker before Nike SB reimagined it; the Zoo York Chocolate variant was a 2002 collaboration with the East Coast skate brand, featuring brown nubuck with Zoo York graphics and a gum rubber sole for board control. Limited to 444 pairs in June 2002, this was among Nike SB's earliest skate brand partnerships.
